Description
Most generators solve the power problem and create a new one: noise. If you're shooting anywhere without mains, whether that's a warehouse, a field, or a location with dodgy wiring, the Delta 3 Max gets you the same result without the racket or the diesel smell.
It's got enough capacity and output to handle a proper location setup: lighting, a couple of monitors, camera batteries, laptops, all running off one unit. If something needs a bit more, X-Boost bumps the output to 3,400W without tripping out. And because it's quiet, you can have it sat right next to camera or sound without worrying about it bleeding into your audio.
The recharge speed is the other reason it's earned a permanent spot in our kit list. An hour on a wall socket gets you back to 80%, so if there's power nearby, even briefly, you're never far from a full charge. No mains at all? The car cable covers charging on the move between locations. It's built to survive being knocked around in transit too, so it holds up to the realities of being loaded in and out of vans day after day.
If you're planning a shoot somewhere without guaranteed power, get in touch and we'll build it into your kit alongside your camera and lighting package.
FAQs
What will it actually run? Comfortably handles lighting, monitors, camera charging, and laptops together. For bigger lighting setups, particularly anything with large HMIs, it's worth speaking to us so we can confirm it'll cover what you need.
Is it quiet enough to have running during a take? Yes. It sits around 25dB or below, so it won't show up on your audio.
How long does a charge last? Depends what's plugged in, but a typical monitor and lighting setup will comfortably see you through a half or full day. For longer or heavier use, we'd suggest topping up during a break.
How do I recharge it on location? Either from a wall socket, around an hour to 80%, or from the car using the included cable if there's no mains nearby.
Is it robust enough for regular location use? Yes, it's built to handle the usual bumps of being moved between vehicles and set, and holds up well to repeated use.
Should I book this alongside my camera and lighting? If you know you're heading somewhere without reliable power, yes. Let us know your dates and we'll sort it as part of your full kit hire. Request a quote and we'll confirm availability.
