For "Lady Rust", the lead single from London goth band Mouth Ulcers' debut album, we supplied the camera and lighting kit for the official music video.
The video premiered on YouTube on October 14, 2026, and credits Sugarland for camera and lighting rental.
The Project
Mouth Ulcers are a London goth four-piece, formed in 2025, who blend modern goth with post-punk in the vein of Joy Division, The Cure and Bauhaus.
"Lady Rust" is the first single from their debut album You're Not In Heaven, out on April 23, 2027 on LAB Records.
The song tells the story of an ancient vampire guarding a slowly decaying manor house, a local legend that many try to visit but few escape.
The video brings that story to life, starring Rosie Garland and Annabel Jean Withers.
A Self-Shot Video
The video was directed, shot and edited by the band's frontman, Zak Watson, with a small team around him.
With a small, hands-on team, the right camera and lighting kit matters even more.
We work with Zak regularly, and supplied the equipment for the shoot.
The cold blue tones and hard contrast in the finished video show how much atmosphere a well-chosen lighting package can create on location.
