The DZOFILM Vespid Prime 35mm T2.1 sits in the middle of DZOFILM's full-frame Vespid line, and it is the focal length most operators reach for first. On a full-frame sensor it gives a natural, slightly wide perspective that works for dialogue, interviews and handheld coverage without pushing the viewer too far back or distorting faces.

The T2.1 aperture is the practical advantage over the wider Vespid primes. You get more light and a shallower depth of field when you want subject separation, which makes it a dependable choice for interiors, night exteriors and anywhere the lighting is not fully under your control.

Optically it holds the same character as the rest of the set: neutral colour, soft skin tones and controlled distortion, with a 16-blade iris that keeps out-of-focus highlights round rather than angular. Low focus breathing means a focus pull reads as intentional. Cine-standard 0.8 MOD gears and the 270° focus throw drop it straight into a follow-focus or motor setup, and the 77mm front thread means you can run filters directly on the lens when a matte box would be overkill.

As a PL-mount lens it fits cine bodies natively, and our Vocas E-PL adapter puts it on Sony E-mount cameras like the FX3, FX6 and FX9.
