DZOFILM Vespid Prime 90mm T2.8 Macro
A dedicated macro prime that brings true close-up capability to the Vespid full-frame line. The 90mm Macro is the lens to reach for on product shoots, detail inserts and anything needing genuine 1:1 close focus, while still holding the same neutral colour and clean bokeh as the rest of the set.
Kit includes
1 x DZOFILM Vespid Prime 90mm T2.8 Macro
1 x Lens Cap
1 x Rear Lens Cap

- T2.8 aperture (T2.8 to T22) for controlled depth of field on tight, detailed shots
- 16-blade iris for round, natural-looking bokeh
- 300° focus rotation, longer than the rest of the Vespid range, for the fine control macro work demands

Description
The DZOFILM Vespid Prime 90mm T2.8 Macro is the specialist in the full-frame Vespid line. Where the rest of the set covers general coverage and dialogue, the 90mm Macro is built for genuine close-up work: product detail, jewellery, food, textures and any insert shot where you need to fill the frame with something small.
True macro focusing down to close to 1:1 magnification means you can capture fine detail without needing a separate stills macro lens rehoused for cine use. The extended 300° focus rotation, longer than the other primes in the range, gives you the fine control that close-focus work demands, where a small turn of the ring makes a real difference to what's sharp.
Beyond the macro capability, it holds the same character as the rest of the Vespid set: neutral colour, soft skin tones, a 16-blade iris for clean bokeh and minimal focus breathing. That consistency matters if you're cutting macro inserts against footage from the wider Vespid primes, the look matches without a grade fix.
As a PL-mount lens it fits cine bodies natively, and our Vocas E-PL adapter puts it on Sony E-mount cameras like the FX3, FX6 and FX9. Pair it with the rest of the PL-mount lenses range for a full set with a consistent look across every focal length. Hire includes the lens with front and rear caps. FAQs
What cameras does the Vespid 90mm Macro work with? It's a PL-mount lens, so it fits PL-mount cinema cameras natively, and Sony E-mount bodies like the FX3, FX6 and FX9 through our Vocas E-PL adapter. Its 46.5mm image circle covers sensors up to full-frame without vignetting.
Is the Vespid 90mm a true macro lens? Yes. It focuses down to close to 1:1 magnification, which means genuine close-up capture rather than just a close-focusing telephoto. That makes it suitable for product detail, textures and insert shots where you need real magnification.
What's it best used for? Product photography-style detail shots, jewellery, food, textures and close-up inserts on a narrative or commercial shoot. It's the lens you add to a kit list specifically for the close-up shots the rest of your primes can't get.
How does it compare to the rest of the Vespid range? It shares the same colour, bokeh character and build as the other Vespid primes, so footage cuts together cleanly, but it's the only one in the set built for true macro focusing. If you don't need close-up capability, one of the general-purpose primes like the 35mm or 50mm will suit most shots better.
What's included with the hire? The hire includes the DZOFILM Vespid Prime 90mm T2.8 Macro lens, a front lens cap and a rear lens cap. Matte boxes, filters, adapters and follow-focus units are separate line items, so let us know your rig and we'll put together the full kit.
