The Manfrotto 025B Super Boom is a lighter, more compact option than the Mega Boom Arm, built for overhead lighting positions where you don't need the Mega Boom's full 12ft reach or higher payload. At 270cm extension, it covers most standard lighting and small-fixture positions while remaining easier to handle and transport on a day-to-day basis.

Coaxial geared controls at the end of the boom give you 180° of smooth movement, so you can swing a light into position without wrestling a friction joint. It's rated for 5kg at full extension, which comfortably covers most lighting heads and small fixtures.

It mounts to a standard grip or lighting stand via a 1 1/8" Junior stud, so it pairs with stands you likely already have on your kit list rather than needing a dedicated stand of its own. How is this different from the Mega Boom Arm? The 025B Super Boom is lighter and more compact, extending to 270cm with a 5kg payload, compared to the Mega Boom Arm's 365cm extension and higher payload. If you need maximum reach or a heavier fixture out at full extension, the Mega Boom is the better choice; for most standard lighting positions, the Super Boom is lighter to handle.
