Our kit comes professionally rigged and ready to shoot. We've built it around a V-mount battery plate and 15mm rod system, giving you a solid foundation for running cinema glass and building out your accessories. The LDS PL mount supports lens data for all compatible lenses, feeding focal length and aperture information directly into your metadata — useful on any shoot, essential on bigger ones.

What lenses are compatible with the Alexa Mini? The Alexa Mini features a PL mount, compatible with the full range of cinema PL lenses including ARRI/Zeiss Master Primes, Cooke S4s, and Leica Summicrons, among many others. Are V-mount batteries included? The kit includes a V-mount battery plate, with V-mount batteries available as an optional extra. V-mount batteries provide significantly longer runtime than standard camera batteries — typically 3–5 hours of continuous shooting depending on your accessories and configuration. A V-mount battery kit can be added to your hire for hot-swapping throughout the day. Just mention your requirements when requesting a quote.

Does the kit include a wireless video transmitter? Wireless video is available as an optional extra. We can supply the ARRI OnSet Wireless Module, which integrates directly with the camera for a clean, low-profile solution. Alternatively, we can supply a standalone wireless transmitter as part of a broader accessories package. Let us know your requirements.

What recording formats and frame rates does it support? The Alexa Mini records Apple ProRes (422 LT, 422, 422 HQ, 4444, 4444 XQ) and ARRIRAW internally to CFast 2.0 cards. Frame rates go up to 200fps in HD crop mode and up to 60fps in 2.8K. The camera shoots in ARRI's LogC colour space, which is widely supported across all major post-production and colour grading software.

Can the Alexa Mini be used in wet weather? Yes. The camera body is weather-resistant, and our kit includes a professional rain cover for additional protection during outdoor shoots. It's been a reliable choice for UK productions where conditions can change quickly.
